I had no idea when entering the retail world that there would be so many tradeshows to attend! I really could spend all of my time bouncing around from show to show. All of the shows are just a little different and seem so important to attend. At the California Gift show I decided that having some help attending shows and getting my product out there to more retailers would be a good idea. With that in mind, Earth Kits decided to bring on a sales rep. I met Kathryn and she is so full of positive energy and with her attitude to sell I knew she would bring about positive change for earth kits.

Kathryn attended the Oasis gift show this past weekend in Arizona and although the feedback on the show was less than stellar Kathryn worked her magic and we received orders!

www.earthkits.com  is continuing to grow and if we continue the path we are on 2009 will look great.

Earth Kits recently attended the California Gift Show in LA. The California Gift Show is designed to allow retailers come in and browse what is new for the upcoming year and what they can buy for their stores.

I set up the booth and off we went for the weekend. Unfortunately, it seemed as if attendance was really down this year as the aisles were quite empty. Earth Kits did generate a lot of interest and made some sales!

The past few months for earth kits have been busy and I am finally learning about how to blog so I wanted to do a little catching up.

In mid-December I rented a van and made my way up to the Santa Monica Convention Center to attend the Eco Gift Festival. I was so excited because this was the first trade show to show off Earth Kits. The Eco Gift Festival is the largest environmentally conscious consumer gift show in the world.  The festival was designed to deliver a stress-free holiday shopping experience unlike any other. The festival in my opinion was a little late in the season for holiday shopping as I encountered many people simply “browsing” rather than buying gifts because they had already finished their shopping.

Over the course of the three days for the festival, I met several great people, spoke to press, and received great feedback on the kits. I sold quite a few things that weekend and was just so happy to finally show people the earth kits face to face.
